Charles, this is the 2nd message I've seen where you are discussing Windows
3.1 and Win95 stuff. The advice and info you wrote is informative and nice,
but - (there is always a "but" in the works) - this is the WRONG echo for
this. Fido has many excellent "techie" echos, and at least four national
echos devoted to Windows, Windows apps, Windows games, etc. I think if you
are a Windows fan, you'd *love* those echos!
THIS echo, though, the one you are reading this in, is the COLLECTABLES echo.
About the closest people get here to computers (other than using them) is
sometimes offering - or looking for - old computers, like old Commodore 64s
or Tandy model I's or the old Sinclair computers, or even the old
Vic-20's...lots of these old machines are becoming very collectable. If you
want to discuss those, you're in the right place. But if you want to discuss
(current) Windows stuff, please use one of the echos dedicated to that, and
cease using *this* echo for that. (Besides, as you skim this echo for
replies to the messages about Windows you posted, you'll probably just get
angry or bored that there's no replies to your messages, and all you see are
our pesky "collectors" messages. Then again, if you collect stuff, them
stumbling onto this echo might not be such a negetive experience after all
for you...)
Anyhow, thank you for your cooperation.
