So, basically we agree that "pair programming" isn't a good idea, right? Besides, you never simply said that you were sick of it. Since we had to share an office, I tried to be somewhat sensitive in what music I played (I did play very little opera, for example). "Der Fuhrer's Face" just seemed so right to play at that place after Mark & Chris took over. Karma was served, though, since at Compaq the guy they hired after I'd tried to get you in there was a dyed-in-the-wool square dancing kicker. I'm sure I suffered as much with him as you did with Spike Jones. > The book _Extreme Programming Refactored_ is supposed to be an > examination of "eXtreme Programming" with some focus on its failures. > I've thought about looking into the subject, but, well, I'm already > doing a lot of what XP says to do, and so any potential benefits are > limited to what's left. As previously noted, based on the description, it sounds like some obviously good practices mixed with some world-class bad ideas. ------------------------------------------------------------- Consulting: http://www.MicroFirm.biz/ Web graphics development: http://Image-Magicians.com/ Software archives: http://snippets.snippets.org/ c.snippets.org/ cpp.snippets.org/ java.snippets.org/ d.snippets.org/ python.snippets.org/ perl.snippets.org/ dos.snippets.org/ embedded.snippets.org/ apps.snippets.org/ Audio and loudspeaker design: http://LDSG.snippets.org/ http://www.diyspeakers.net/ --- BBBS/LiI v4.01 Flag-5* Origin: Prism's_Point (1:261/38.1) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 @PATH: 261/38 123/500 106/2000 633/267 |
