Steve:
Thanks for explaining why TrueType fonts can change size depending on
printer resolution. As you know, although any individual change is
almost unnoticeable, it adds up and will change the page layouts in a
document.
It's my impression that this doesn't happen with PostScript? My own
printing is done with rasterized outlines of Type One fonts (I use
PrimeType for WordPerfect), and I've no idea what would happen if I
switched to a printer with different resolution.
Does anyone actually know?

I've never seen a Postscript printer with less than 300 dpi. Type 1
fonts are not restricted to Postscript, but are the NATIVE font for that
PDF (Printer Definition Language).

It's been years since I used Adobe Type Manager, but it had the same
problem when using a NON-Postscript printer. I don't know about
Postscript printers. My guess would be that it is not a problem.

I'm confused... who is going to ban you from this conference? If someone
has written to your sysop, please let me know.
Complaints about WP coming from a user of the software seems to me to be
appropriate where as diatribes from users of competing products might
not be. Try to keep on topic and ignore 'flame bait.' Trust me... I'm
dealing with it.
