Hi Laurie;
Sorry to take so long getting back to you, Easter got in there:-)))
RC> For contact management, I've used Act, Gold Mine,

LC>I've been using Maximizer for years (started with the DOS

Benefits:
Easy to use; (single screen, rather than multiple jump arounds)
contact sensitive help files (really helps, not like general "how tos")
unlimited reporting - custom report, or I can make up my own
global updates accross the database
2000+customers easily managed
Estimating (Maximizer doesn't have this) - a biggy for me
(what I sold them, what I'm selling them, what I want to sell them)
I can maintain the list of services and'or items I have to offer
Great for customers whom I visit on a regular basis (weekly, monthly,
quarterly or annually) - works great for routine and non-routine calls.
Telephone dialing - dials customer, logs date and time, and what call
was about - can later add more details (notes kept in one place),
Fill in estimate sheet (I've done it on the phone while the customer waits -
very fast
I guess what attracted me to it was the fact that it's been designed for
salespeople who hate using computers:-))) Of course, that being said, I
set out to disprove that claim but I have to admit, the more I use it,
the less I go back to maximizer:-)))
For the sake of others, we may prefer to take this to Netmail or Email.
Do you have internet access? If you do, I can give you the WebPage
reference..... please let me know.
Thanx
