If I remember well with recent dosemu's you need to set something in the
config file so that dos serial io is redirected to stdin and stdout so that
the dos program communicate via a virtual serial port. (Allways use com1).
There are some updated instructions, but it's possible that not all doors
will work.
There's also an older dosemu version that does work, but as root only via
sudo.
