And for my two cents (remember when there was a key for the
"cents" sign?) worth, I have a Starview two-port KVM which
I've had for donkey's years.  At some time soon after I got
it I found I had mouse problems -- perhaps the
boot-without-focus mentioned -- but I just have a mouse on
each of the machines and the keyboard and monitor shared.
