Regarding manual inflation of the BC.

Around here divers take pride in coming up and having the most air
left in the tank out of the group.  It's bragging rights to have
700 psi when the rest have 500 or lower.  The most air remaining
shows breathing control and experience.  (Even though we both know
there are many more factor such as size, exertion, temp, etc.)
I don't plan my dives that close, but I do enjoy braggin rights
now and then...    :)
