I believe I'm stubbornly sending email as plain text.

This is not intentional. I just went to my yahoo email preferences and
the compose in plain text option is as it has always been checked.
Yours and my messages that come from the group back to this email
address I receive without HTML code. I also receive extremely few html
coded messages from the os2 groups in my non-yahoo account, except for
the messages posted June 6 and 7.

Which is how this thread was started. A reaction to Yahoo changing it's
html affairs.
