I'm a *little* bit south of you, in the U.S. of A, in Colorado.
The pair of cockatiels I first started out with was a lutino cock and a grey
hen. It was great as I was able to know the sex and coloring of the babies as
soon as they hatched. But that's because I knew the cock was not split to
anything. So all the lutino babies were hens, and the cocks were greys split
to lutino. Sex-linked nests are great, but my favorite mutation remains the
pieds and most specifically the cinnamon pied!
If your baby turns out to be a pearl, it'll be a hen.....
