Hubert Lelong coughed up fur ball on all's plate about server and W95
HL> a friend of mine had an idea that seems not stupid, but we cannot
HL> realize it : as we are teaching computers, [and you know, learners are
HL> dangerous on workstation, with there funny "and what if I clic here
HL> ?"] we'd like to save our standard configurations on a server (Novell
HL> 3.12) with the possibility of booting any station with a disket and
HL> copy the configuration back.
HL> With a W 3.11 station, it's OK
HL> with W95, it is NOT. I think it's a problem caused by non
HL> 8.3 names of file.
Make sure you have the OS2 namespace loaded on your server, this will give
you long filenames for Win95.
Also to store the desktop settings for a Win95 station you could use user &
station profiles. your (Win95) resource kit will have further information.
