Bill, I hate to break it to you, but actors don't dictate to script writers.

From the writer's point of view, the holograph doctor or the android ships
officer must in time develop human characteristics if the audience is to
identify with them.

In case you were not aware of it, all of us here can distinguish between a
TV series and real life and the distinction hardly needs to be pointed out.
On the other hand, perhaps you have some difficulty with the concept of
using a TV series to illustrate a point.

I am sure that there are those here who can help you with your apparent problem.
At the moment I am having difficulty enough trying to deal with Geo's
logic. It strikes me as a bit . . . alien.
