EO> I happened to be reading a computer magazine when I saw an article on

EO> According to the article - even if you have a 28.8 modem, at peak

Okay, I'll be the first to admit that I don't know a lot about the
Internet, but I have picked up a few things along the way. Since Tel$tra
bought out AARNet (our main gateway out of Australia), the inet has started
to collapse under it's own weight. Tel$tra simple aren't expanding their
services enough to cope with the demand. Fortunetly, several ISPs have
started to set up their own links. There are two servers in WA that I know
of who have done this and the performance has improved dramatically.

I know a lot of servers also force users down to only 14.4k so they can get
more users onto their limited bandwidth.
