The yellow truck (DHL) came today with a Startech 2 port KVM switch (good
thing about these guys is that most of their switches include the cables).
Got it installed, and one machine is 100% OK. The other machine (older,
with the old FAT original PC style keyboard connector - I have the adapter
- and a serial mouse) didn't see the mouse (actually a logitech
trackball). The trackball has a PS2 connector and came with a PS2 to
serial adapter, and works when directly connected, but not through the
KVM, alas.
NBD. I plugged the old Tball into that machine (which only sees
occasional use and is about to be replaced with something newer).

There are very few personal problems that cannot be solved by a suitable
application of high explosives.
