No, it isn't *too* slow in that it does work, but it is still pretty bloody
slow! Due to dubious line quality, my 14.4k modem will only go 9600, and I
use PPP for my uni internet account... The thing that makes it bearable is
that I'm not paying for my account or for the time I spend online, so the
only think I have to put up with waiting for a page to d/l is boredom :)
If you have a commercial ISP and/or are paying by the minute (or hour) I
would recomend investing in a faster modem.. you'll save more money in the
long run (prolly in the short run too, I guess...)
