As good as the PBS Morse episodes are, the novels are better. However, I'm
still waiting for the one which reveals Morse's name.
I haven't read any of Lynda LaPlante's Prime Suspect books but am told the
series are better. That may have something to do with the fact that what
laPlante writes was written with TV in mind.
