HELP!!
I have a Lawyer client who has a large number (100's) of important files
(precedents etc) in WP51 who wants to convert to Word 6.0 or 7.0. The
problem is the files are all in "merge" state, with fields (no trouble) and
lots of WP51 {Keyboard} inputs. The program simply does not convert any text
macros that have the same {Pause} input.
The trouble is that Word does not recognise, in any way at all, these
{Keyboard} inputs - no Shading, no bookmark - nothing. When the merge is
carried out the program simply shows an input box but has no sign of where
that imput is to go. This is the same with using Ask... and Fillin... -
though it does show the reference (if the client types in all the Ask..
Fillin fields again) but it does not show any reference to the client where
more tan one record is being used. It's better than nothing (I've been in
touch with Microsoft and they claim there is no way of showing this -
something I had already gathered myself). We can use Ask... or Fillin if
absolutely desperate!
But I'm hoping there is someone out there who has come across this problem
before and can maybe help me in some way. Thanks in anticipation...
