We did not. Some of the usual right-wing weirdos publicly recommended it,
but Truman never took that seriously, nor did he ever threaten it. Mac
Arthur not only recommended it, but pushed hard for it, although in his
case it was for use
against China, not N. Korea.  His going public with that idiocy was one of
the reasons Truman dumped him.
