2400 Modem Connects01-26-96

JP>One of my regular callers is using an "IBM Aptiva 28.8" internal
JP>modem with HyperTerminal. However, she can never manage to connect to
JP>the NetComm M11F I have at any speed above 2400. I have been told
JP>that this happens on every board she calls.

JP>Does anyone have any idea why she connects at 2400 every time? I
JP>don't know anything about HyperTerminal, so I can not suggest any
JP>settings which might need any tweaking. What could the problem be?

JP>Johnno
John,
It sounds like Win95 has not recognised her modem correctly as that is
where Hyperterminal will get its settings from, I would suggest she
removes the modem by selecting Modems Icon in the Win95 control panel
and then add the modem again however tell Win95 not to find the modem
and select it from a list, the modem she has is listed.
Hope this helps
