I watched the LEDs on both devices when I turned on the UPS and noticed that the DSL Modem occasionally will blink the Activity LED, but the Router Link/Act. LEDs for the WAN and the Port this computer is connected to blink frantically for a Minute or two before calming down and remaining lit. I have learned if I wait for those 2 Router LEDs to stay on and then turn on the XP computer, that when I see the Limited Users Account Desktop the Local Area Connection icon on the Taskbar doesn't have the Red X over it. The Repair button on the Local Area Connection Support Tab is Greyed Out unless I used a Administrator Users Account when I first use the computer, and I'd rather use the Limited account, so I wait a minute or two. Another thing I noticed is when I do turn on the computer the LEDs on the Router blink OFF and back ON. I guess it does what it does, I just can't find any info in the Routers .PDF manual about the Start Up Phase. * SLMR 2.1a #T348 * Life is much easier if you look at the source code. --- SBBSecho 2.12-Linux* Origin: telnet & http://cco.ath.cx - Dial-Up: 502-875-8938 (1:2320/105.1) SEEN-BY: 3/0 633/267 640/954 712/0 620 848 953 @PATH: 2320/105 0/0 261/38 712/848 633/267 |
