Harvey,
It never ceases to amame and amuse me how people who cannot get the votes 
always blame those who can as being undemocratic.  I didn't see the beginning 
of this, so I don't know what your problem is.  However, I do know that 
crying "undemocratic" about it won't help.
As someone who has stood for election every two years since 1974, I can tell 
you the way to get elected (or get someone you favor elected ) is to get out 
and work at it.  Don't cry about it.  If others don't agree with you, then 
you better wonder about your position.
It's like the Republicans cried about lack of democracy and the need for term 
limits when the Democrats held the majority in Congress for 30 years.  It's 
funny how everything was suddenly democratic and the need for term limits 
disappeaed when they finally won. 
It is the same in the Federation.
