    Don't know about you, Kat, but up her in Minne-snow-tah, where we've 
been reading the posts that say, "Only one more month before it's time to 
plant your tomatoes!  Are you ready?!" and laugh, mid to the end of April 
(if everything goes well) is when the really seasoned veterans start 
wandering around in shorts again.  That would be any time the temps get up 
around 40f.
    It was my first winter here when I remember my brother calling me from 
CA and telling me, it's getting down into the 50s and we're all pulling out 
our long johns.  I told him it was just getting up into the 40s and we were 
all taking ours off.  Truth be known, after that first winter I never wore 
my long johns again until this one when we moved out into the country and 
spending a few hours on a snowblowwer clearing 150' of driveway could chill 
one right to the bone.
    I also remember audibly laughing the first time I said to myself, "Oh 
good, it's going to be in the 40s today.  I can go outside without my 
gloves."
    This winter's getting a bit long this time through, but I still don't 
mind it much.  Snow makes most everything look clean and the air smell fresh.
