Hi Wayne,
I have used DR-DOS 6.0 as a base for Geoworks Ensemble since I changed
from my old Commodore 64 to my first 286. It has been reliable, and I
can attribute no problem to the DOS. I believe the problem area was
Microsoft. That company would go out of its way to break compatability
with any OS other than its own and its applications. Windows was one
notorious example.
Have no fears running DR-DOS and Geoworks Ensemble. It is, if not a
match made in heaven, at least as close to perfect match as can be made
on this earth. The reason why (at least the way I understand it) is
that Geoworks and Digital Research worked together during the
development of DR-DOS.
In any case, DR-DOS was ahead of MS-DOS in just about every area of true
functionality. It is just that B. Gates was a better salesman.
Just in case my signature line throws you off a bit, the computer that
is in the US with my family has the DR-DOS/GWE combination running
(quite well) on it.

Stephen
