subject: USR Courier V34 problems

DH->It's not USR's fault - it's inherent in the situation. After a reset,
DH->the modem has no record of the DTE baud rate - but it can, and does,
DH->remember the last AT&W baud rate, that's permanent.

I dunno about that... I can't find a way to make my modem behave like that
- and it has a Rockwell chipset. The AT&W was done at 57600... and
switching rates to 300, turning the modem off and then on, and the rings
come up as they should.... Wierd?

... It's not a person, damnit! It's a Borg!

Veni, Vidi, Vici,
Andre van Eyssen.
