 PC> i only use to get 21600 with M11F's 24000->26400 with early
 PC> M34F's and 26400->28800 with later M34F's. BTW what type Netcomm
 PC> are you connecting to.

 PE> I've just changed ROM levels back one level, and now instead of
 PE> connecting at 26400 first time every time he is connecting at
 PE> 24000 *almost* every time. The odd instances have been at 26400
 PE> and 21600. Anyway, he is using...

so have i and my 28800 connects to M34F's have turned into 21600
connects, the earlier SDL issues ATS54=64&W after it loads the code
which turns off the V8 tones, i might try S54=0 to see if i can get my
28800 connects back.

 PE> Netcomm Series 5 SmartModem M34F (SM3400) DFS256K(K)-Z7 V2.61L

this looks like the later M34F unless the late code has been loaded
into an early M34F, can you get the owner of the netcomm to issue
AT#V0I6#V1 to get the Rockwell chip ID .
