Please try! If so, that would mean that the VDISK signature at the beginning of HMA survives POST. Exactly like in my notebook... where I had to write a small utility to clear HMA which has to be put in CONFIG.SYS before HIMEM.SYS. I'll send it to you as soon as I'm back at home.
