When I turned on the XP computer from HP a message showed on the screen
instructing me to burn some CDs or DVDs to be used for Recovery Media
to restore their computer to the way it was when I bought it.
I used 2 DVDs to do that JIC I ever needed it.

Because the D: Partition is also 8GB I have thought that the D: Partition
is what HP used to make the DVD media that I burned.
I have been wrong B4, Probably Now Too.

When I open Control Panel - Computer Management - Storage - Disk Management
it shows the C: and D: partitions on the HDD.
Disk Management hasn't shown me any hidden partition(s) that is why I
think there isn't one on my HP XP box.
I have been wrong B4, Maybe Now Too.

HG> If needed, you can reinstall Windows either way. Please note that the

I'd have to look at the Acer Vista box to see what is on it some time later.

I've read about that on www.askwoody.com .

HG> For Windows I'll check if Irfanview fills my bill.

Thanks for the info.
