The only "campaigning" was by Kahn (that was the one I thought you'd pick).

People do all sorts of things at memorial service. I remember a big deal
was made when a video camera showed Bill Clinton joking with someone at a
service, but switching to a more serene look when he "realized"
the camera was on him.

It goes back to loss. We deal with loss in many different ways. Sometimes,
we even boo the "enemy".
