Holger,

HG{at}> Rather you should run one of the free clean-up programs, like CCleaner.
HG{at}> That way you'll get rid of a lot of trash that slows the boot process.

My Mom has that on her system...but I use the Advanced System Care program
suite from IOBit Software...as well as their Smart Defrag, Malware Fighter,
and Driver Booster.

HG{at}> A 3 hour operation and almost two weeks in hospital and more than a
HG{at}> month at the rehab center followed before I could get home.

We didn't have much of a winter in Arkansas...there was one brief winter
storm (if you want to call it that), that brought an inch or two of snow
in January. Now, we have a threat of thunderstorms and severe weather
(including tornadoes) nearly every day. I've been doing a lot of work with
Skywarn as a result.
