| subject: | Re: [OS2HW] Re: KVM |
For several years now I have been using a QVS 2-port KVM switch (they also make a 4-port model) that connects by USB cables to the computers but can accept either PS/2- or USB-connected keyboard and mouse. This enables me to use my cordless trackball (USB from receiver to KVM switch) and my ancient PS/2-only Gateway 2000 "AnyKey" keyboard, which has 12 function keys on the left (the only sensible location, permitting the use of almost any combination of Ctrl, Shift, Alt and F-key with only the left hand). Switching between machines is either by a button on the front of the KVM or by ScrollLock, ScrollLock, UpArrow (or DownArrow) keystrokes. -=- Alan On 06/18/06 12:50 am Joyce Clarke wrote: > And for my two cents (remember when there was a key for the > "cents" sign?) worth, I have a Starview two-port KVM which > I've had for donkey's years.
