In a message on Monday 10-29-16 Roger Nelson said to Holger Granholm: Hi Roger, HG> I read an article, in a puter magazine of course, about an HG> anniversary upgrade to Win10, ....... RN> Simple enough to find out. Click Start > Settings > System > scroll RN> down the left pane to About and click on it. If you have the RN> anniversary update, it will show 1607, just like it shows on my RN> tearline below. When I read 'pane' I interpret it to window. What I got after clicking Settings >, was a splash covering most of the screen. I tried to find "system", "about" and "version" without results. Next day I clicked the icon named 'system' on the splash screen, and there I found 'about' at the end of the list. It showed the version to be: 1607, ie. the update. I checked again the contents of the Windows Upgrade Assistant, and found a couple of text files dated oct.11 2016, apparently telling the date of the upgrade. That happens to be the date that killed my access to Facebook oct.12th. I haven't got it working since then. RN> I believe the one before that was 1533, but I could be wrong. It RN> was 15-something, however. (-: Yes it was apparently 1511. I started up the laptop, and before doing anything else, I checked the 'about', and it showed 1511. You may have done an upgrade after that, to have it show 1533. I then started up the WiFi, and was shown that Windows had an upgrade. It didn't ask me if it should apply it, but started downloading that immeadetely, and applied it at once. After that, when clicking Start > and Settings >, I do now get what I would call a 'window' (pane) on the left, that now makes me more confused, than the previous 'splash screen', with the various icons. OTOH, Facebook seems to work on that machine, despite the fact that I have never used, nor logged in to FB before with it. But of course, the user is the same, as well as the email address.
