Thanks for the suggestion. Unfortunately, recent SnapSE versions
don't work right on my system. I currently have v2.3 installed
from mid-'04. That does work and offers a choice of 4:3 and 16:9.
I assume 16:9 is for wide screen. I have the correct monitor
selected in the properties box. However, it is still stretched.
Probably due to the age of my version of Snap.

When I install the new Snap, there is a 5 min (I timed it!!!) delay
after the splash screen and before the wps starts. Although the
new snap will probably solve my problem, I removed that version
prior to installing the monitor so don't know for sure.

Based on your suggestion I installed it on another computer that I
have laying around here that has eCS v1.2r on it and it does work
correctly, with the delay a very reasonable 20 seconds.

I don't know why I have problems w/ SnapSE on my main system.
Probably because it has been migrated from eCS v1.0->1.1->1.2. It
previously had SDD and earlier Snap versions. I tried to remove
all traces of the previous versions but maybe have something laying
around that I missed. This doesn't seem like a likly cause but it
is all I can think of (other than I am running SMP on this system).
Before v3.1.6 I have not had success installing newer versions of
Snap and have remained with the older one that works.

Hope I don't have to live with it, and reinstalling the OS would be
very tedious w/ all the apps to install.

Thanks, Jon
