| subject: | [OS2HW] How Do I? |
I'm not sure if this is completly a hardware question.
I'm currently running eCS 1.05 on a single 40-GB hard disk (drives C:
- J:). Drives I: and J: are JFS. On another box I'm running Linux on
two hard disks (80-GB and 15-GB), soon I'm replacing the 15-GB with a
much larger drive.
1. I would like to add the 15-GB drive to my eCS box. What I don't
want to do is increase the number of drive letters I'm using. Can I
install the 15-GB, split it into 2 partitions, and expand both I: and
J:? Without damaging the data that's currently on I: and J:?
2. C:, D:, G:, H: are currently running in compatibility mode (HPFS).
At my current level I cannot boot from a JFS volume, but I would like
to convert all of the others to JFS. How can I do this - without
losing data? BTW, H: has my swap on it. D: and G: are referenced in my
config.sys.
