| subject: | [OS2HW] Monitor problems |
When I open an app full screen, or nearly full screen there is a
click and then the screen goes blank. The power light turns orange
(or red?). When I cycle the power I get the picture back. It does
not consistently happen. It may be a problem for an hour then it
may stop for several hours or a day then start up again.
What are possible causes of this? Driver, card, or monitor? I am
using this monitor on a KVM and it happens on more than one
computer with different video cards.
My resolution is 1280x1024 {at} 85 hz and this is the recommendation
for the monitor. It is supported by my video card.
Also, I run epager to have multiple desktops. On one computer when
I switch between desktops the picture sort of jumps out at me, then
resizes to the screen. On a different computer this does not
happen.
This problem has existed intermittently for a few years, it is
becoming more common, to the point of happening several times an
hour, depending on what I am doing.
Any suggestions?
Thanks, jon
