Jim here is a different perspective from someone who lives in a state
where they don't have a federation sponsored center. I think the
Colorado folks did a smart thing in that the director of the Colorado
Center was not the state President. I think it was a smart move
organizationally because we need to maintain our independence as an
advocate. I think we need more federation centers around the country
because considering the fact that there are only 4 centers in the
entire country and the need for quality rehabilitation is so great.
How do we solve these gargantuan problems while maintaining our
independence as an advocacy organization. I hope we don't have a
repeat of the Iowa experience in some of these states.
