subject: Dialing Area/Country Codes

Hi everyone,

Just a brief question. I notice that Win95 gives you an option, when
dialing a number (e.g. in dial-up networking, Hyperterminal, Qmodem Pro
for Win95), to "use country code and area code to dial".

I know that dialing the area code together with the number itself e.g.
02 878 5200 still costs the same as a local call. But would 612 878 5200
(or is it 6102 878 5200) be charged as an international call because of
the added country code?

I have also heard that using the area code (together with the BBS's
number) to dial gives you clearer lines. Is this true or BS?

Thanks.

Sunny
