Subject: treatment of dog guide users
As some of you know, a Canadian lady attending the N.F.B.
convention in New Orleans was bodily thrown out of a cab upon
attempting to return to the airport because the cab driver
refused to accept her guide dog to which she refused to leave the
cab.  The cab driver's trial was due to begin yesterday August 20
but it has now been moved back to September 30th.
The Iranian cab driver gave as his reason that in the Islamic
faith dogs are considered highly unclean and he refused to take
it for religious reasons.  I do not know the woman's name or the
name of the attorney handling the case.  I'll keep you posted.
