Mobility problems prevent most line officers from wearing a level III
vest.  Some may in high crime areas, but a level II vest weighs about 7
pounds.  Which doesn't sound like much until you wear it for 10 or 12
hours.

I don't know.  We get to look it over and put on a sample at the next
shoot, which is a night shoot.  It's supposed to weigh under 5 pounds,
with the shock plate.
