It doesn't seem to block legitimate stuff as you put it. Geo's host file
thing does seem to block some non-popup ads built into various websites.
For example the banner ad always at the top of drudge is blocked. I don't
mind not getting those ads blocked. Normal pictures that are part of a
website are not blocked.
