Kathy,
Some people use baby food warmers. You might set the food on a heating pad.
If you have one of the crock pots that sits on top of a hot plate type of 
thing 
you could use that.
How I solve the problem is that that I heat my small bowl first, I use a 
thick 
crock type, before I make the formula. Actually it doesn't solve the problem 
because I just make enough so that it stays warm...then I make more. I use a 
coffe pot to make the hot water so the hot water is at least ready.
