Are you using a *.prm file?
Just for grins, I copy the domain addresses of my ISP to my \mptn\etc\resolv
Example of my CALLATT.CMD file.
---------------------------------------
/* REXX */
call rxFuncAdd 'SysLoadFuncs', 'RexxUtil', 'SysLoadFuncs'
call SysLoadFuncs
'echo > d:\qbbs\flags\forcexit.01'
call syssleep 5
'copy c:\mptn\etc\resolv3 c:\mptn\etc\resolv'
'copy c:\mptn\etc\resolv3 c:\mptn\etc\resolv2'
call syssleep 3
'ppp.exe file c:\connatt.prm com2 57600 mru 1500 rtscts modem defaultroute->
priority 1 notify exit connect "pppdial.cmd c:\pppdlatt.rsp"'
say 'PPP return code' rc
'copy c:\tcpip\dos\etc\resolv c:\mptn\etc\resolv'
'copy c:\tcpip\dos\etc\resolv c:\mptn\etc\resolv2'
'hwait /s:ftpstop'
'exit'
=== End callatt.cmd ===
---------------------------------------
Then an Example of my CONNATT.PRM file.
mru 1500
rtscts
modem
defaultroute
priority 1
notify
exit
user "xxxxxxxxx@worldnet.att.net" ; \ same user name twice
name "xxxxxxxxx@worldnet.att.net" ; /
secret "xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx"
=== End connatt.prm ===
---------------------------------------
Lastly, you asked about the Response file.
I don't use the default dialer.
GO
[PPPDIAL_REM] pppdial script response file for connecting to AT&T Worldnet
[PPPDIAL_DO_NOT_USE_DIALER]
[PPPDIAL_PREFIX] ATDT
[PPPDIAL_PHONE] 1-313-964-3100
[PPPDIAL_REM]
[PPPDIAL_REM] Init modem as appropriate for Worldnet and your brand of modem
[PPPDIAL_REM]
[PPPDIAL_REM] If the modem you used to do the registration is the same brand
[PPPDIAL_REM] as the one you'll be using regularly then the file->
\WorldNet\dialer\modems2.ini
[PPPDIAL_REM] contains a modem init string that you should consider using
here.
[PPPDIAL_REM]
[PPPDIAL_REM] The following init string should be on one line with no
mbedded
blanks.
[PPPDIAL_REM]
[PPPDIAL_INIT1] ATZ
[PPPDIAL_INIT2] ATB0&H1&I0&K3&M4&N0&R2&S1S0=0
[PPPDIAL_REM]
[PPPDIAL_REM] Wait 3 seconds between redials
[PPPDIAL_REM]
[PPPDIAL_DELAY] 3
[PPPDIAL_REM]
[PPPDIAL_REM] Only retry dialing 500 times
[PPPDIAL_REM]
[PPPDIAL_MAX_REDIAL] 500
[PPPDIAL_REM] This is optional but may be used to start programs that you
would
like
[PPPDIAL_REM] automatically started when your Internet connection is
established.
[PPPDIAL_REM]
[OS/2] START /B /C /WIN D:\SOME PROGRAM HERE....CMD
=== End pppdlatt.rsp ===
---------------------------------------
Hope this helps.
