RM> Second.. I do use another Download Accellerator/manager RM> that works in exactly the same way but I use it mainly for the RM> 'continue interrupted download' function and the more aggressive RM> 'polling' it uses to get new packets sent if things do slow down a RM> bit at the sending end. (It also splits the file into up to 8 parts RM> and I keep it set at 4 parts for any minor improvement that gives.) GP>Sounds like just how I used DAP when I had dial-up. . . >Which were you using? I used to use DAP, and that after GetRight, but lately I've been using a freeware one, Fresh Download (Fresh Devices). It's not fancy but it seems to work okay. But you can't split the download between different source sites with it (at least I don't think so) if you are into that. --- * SLMR Rob * If there's no God then who pulls up the next kleenex ? * * PDQWK 2.52 #17 --- GTMail 1.26* Origin: Kentucky's Capitol City Online * 502/875-8938 * cco.ath.cx (1:2320/105.0) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 5030/786 @PATH: 2320/105 261/38 123/500 106/2000 633/267 |
