I'm not familiar with that happening, nor if it happened.  Not saying it
didn't either.  It wasn't the Shaw of Iran by himself that affected world
oil supplies it was OPEC, which took the concerted action of many nations.
Also, the economy didn't tank until Carter, many years after Nixon.  5 or 6
years after.
