From: "Gary Britt" Thanks Doug for clearing that up. I was really getting confused because I use the google toolbar all the time. On a related note, I've been getting a lot of popup ads lately that the google toolbar popup blocker wasn't blocking. They open a small no name window in the bottom right corner of the screen and then that window turns into a popup ad that isn't blocked by google's blocker. At first I wrote some macros in Macro Express to close these windows, but it wasn't as fully automatic and instantaneous as I wanted. I notice today that most of these ads showed a title of http://zd.adserver.com/w......etc. So I added "adserver.com" to my restricted zone and customized the settings to disable everything making it higher than high security. This included disabling signed and considered safe scripts for anything in the restricted zone. That knock wood seems to have eliminated these annoying popups. Maybe I should have tried an entry in the localhosts file. Would that have blocked anything from adserver.com?
