Hey Paul Here's another vote for Asus. All mfrs have some percentage of failure but Asus is well above avg quality and reliability and many consider them *the* "bar setter" of the industry, myself included especially in the niche of enthusiast performance mobos. BTW the nvidia chipset enjoys considerable OS/2 support often even the gigabit ethernet which is basically a Realtek 8169. If you simply must get a socket 370 board check this one out http://www.stalliontek.com/SearchResults.asp?Cat=111 It is basically server quality, rock solid for some P3's (check speeds) and even fairly overclockable due to the combo of great stability and timing/speed seting features in bios. Also, pretty amazing price here. That's two votes for the A8N-E. Not too bad a price either. > Though I may have to do it in stages - it becomes a bit expensive when > its a motherboard, CPU, memory and video... > > For the moment it looks as though I may be able to pick up a Socket 370 > board that will handle the 1.2 GHz PIII, so I may be able to get it > running again while I save up for the new bits. > > regards, paul. > > -- > System uptime is 80 days 22:08 hours and 42 seconds > > paulm{at}waitrose.com > Marwick Computer Services - Chipping Norton, Oxfordshire, UK > OS/2, LAN and general Computer Consultants > > > > Yahoo!
