You have to use whatever they use for the URL to the ad server, so if the
ads come from www.xxx.xxx.com that's what you have to enter, on the other
hand if they come from ad1.xxx.com then you have to add that one. Each of
those is simply a machine name, so if they call it bob.ads.suck.domain.com
then that's what you have to enter in your hosts file. And the bad part is
if they change the name to bob1.ads.still.suck.domain.com then you have to
change yours to match.
Fortunately the hosts file is very efficient so you can make it pretty big
before it starts to create any lags in resolving names.
