Hello, Bryan.
14 Jan 07 08:29, you wrote to me:

I hear ya and I can understand completely. I have a USR Courier (external
33.6 v.everything) I'm giving on a "permanent loan" to a friend
out in Arizona as all he can get out there is dialup. I found, in the
trash at a TV station (really-they were going to toss out a ton of stuff
but called my amateur radio club first to let us comb over stuff), a nice
little external MultiTech MultiModem (33.6). I have to solder a new tip
onto a power supply for it, but I believe it works. Once I get a regular
POTS line, up goes dialup.
If I'm making enough, I'd like to get something like AT&T's Unlimited
plan ($40 lets you do unlimited POTS LD). I know it sounds funny, but I'd
much, MUCH rather send mail "direct" than over the 'net these
days. However, the way my system is configured, Internet Rex tends to
"grab" mail before my front-end gets a chance, so it's something
I'd have to work on.
Oh, what front-end mailer are you considering using? I personally like
BinkleyTerm (I have a ten-year-bias about it :).
Later,
Sean
