Hello, Bryan.
14 Jan 07 08:27, you wrote to me:

This is a SCSI-2 interface; I have about four Adeptec 2940-U PCI cards here
(one's in the BBS machine). For me, it's just adding a single line in my
CONFIG.SYS and off I go. :P

Heh, my BBS runs on a Dell Dimension 8100 (1.3ghz RAM, 40GB HD space, 8GB
DAT tape drive)...I've got other older machines, but I'm saving them(tm)
for other uses, such as ham radio or house automation.

I'd recommend a little more RAM than that if you're going to run some of
these bigger DOS doors. Maybe 32MB (and use DesqView!). Unfortunately, I
haven't messed with straight DOS for too long. You might try over in the
DOS_INTERNET echo or something if you need help. Not too many people in
here run straight DOS and the only person that I know of that runs straight
DOS is shutting down.
Well, wait. I know Ben Ritchey runs Wildcat! under DOS. But what sucks is
that since I have VoIP, I can't call any of these great dialup boards
(analog modem no worky over VoIP here). Keep poking around and you'll find
someone eventually.
Good luck with the board. I've got the entire Telegard FTP support site in
my Telegard filebase. You said you were on dialup, right? Would you like
me to burn that and send that off to you? That way you'd have everything
you need. I could also burn my BBS doors filebase, BBS utilities
filebase...anything else that you think you might need. I can stuff a lot
on a single CD these days.
Later,
Sean
