yes, when i connect with another microcom the data streams through at about
124% in binkley speak and with other modems like the hayes optima it was
about 117-120 percent. while i was connected to the 314 XXXX side of
randwick exchange. ggod lines and good exchanges it is a superb choice
better value for money than even the usr v34+

i've since moved to 665 XXXX coogee exchange and had a decrease in overall
connect speed and throughput. while the techs who installed the service
commented on the clean copper back to the exchange and noted that the
exchange was overhauled recently. i have experienced a deffinate
d4egredation in connectivity especially with maestros (in particular) not
to leave out diamond generics (the non austel appoved ones) a couple of
banksias (thier not to bad acutally it depends on the calling exchange)
thier is one other a no namer one off my subsribers got .. it left the
microfom in a very confussed state screaming very loudly and noises i cant
recall being as modem protocol related songs of any sort .. this could have
been a coincidnce but i wasnt going to take a chance he got it from a
friend real cheap and no austel aproval or any warrenty just 120 dollars
for a 28k8 modem,

overall, i would say yes i'm happy .. how happy depends oin the time of day
and how many users of cheap modem have complained about the shitty
througput. i have some problems with maestros in particluar tha i'm trying
to sort out but they ae becoming a minority so i may just give up that
chase.
