BRUCE LEGRANDE TYPED: Could you post a few more facts re: this accusation?
MIKE SPRAGUE RESPONDS: I monitered this broadcast during the period UTC 0945
to 1000 of Saturday,10 August, 1997. At 1000 the program ended and the
transmitter shut down. The frequency of the transmission was 5745 kHz. I
cannot recall the title of the program but I recall the man whom I presume to
be the program host conducting an interview with a female attorney who was
explaining the contents of a book that was written by a Gestapo officer of
the 1940s. One notion she promoted was that although the book was written by
a man who was a member of a discredited organization, the notions put to
print were relavant to modern-day social problems. At the end of the
program, the male interviewer gave the name of the Swiss publisher where the
book could be obtained. I didn't have a pencil to write the address on
paper. The interviewer mentioned that the attorney represented an
organization called Liberty House or Liberty Lobby or some such name.
Now, I will have to offer an apology here. There is no reason for me to
think that this book was offered for sale by WHRI, although the way my
original message reads, that inference could be made. Being past the initial
emotional response of the hearing, I still feel compelled to state that no
modern-day organization is reflected in a good light by making a connection
even in the slighest way with a member of the Gestapo. It actually makes me
feel better to hear your report that no such connections are made on the
television broadcasts.
