Hi Stephane:
How about fuel? Is it readily available? At what cost?
Our local hobby shops carry model fuel but it is two or three times as
expensive than what we can get by ordering in bulk from a fuel supplier.
In addition, fuel from the local hobby shops tends to be outdated
because they have it sitting around for a year or more. (Note: Not all
US hobby shops are like this. Some have a good turnover in fuel sales so
the fuel they carry stays fresh.
I've even tried making my own, but with the cost of nitro as it is, it
is cheaper in the long run to buy premixed; even racing fuel (ie. 60%
nitro.)

I'd have to say you are extremely talented and very lucky. I'm glad that
method worked for you. My experience has been that this method is
usually very expensive for most beginners. Would you mind telling us
what model you trained yourself on? It could be a helpful choice for
other novices.
